AVC-SS-11 | Roof-or-Slab Path Decision Checklist

Source-original editable Word single-storey walling, masonry, roof/slab route and structural-interface checklist for roof-or-slab path decision checklist. The actual printed site control points below support traceable HOLD, inspection and staged release.

WHEN TO APPLY THIS SINGLE-STOREY INSPECTION

Use this sheet to mark whether each walling zone is preparing for roof support, slab support or a mixed route.

FIRST SOURCE-ORIGINAL SITE AND STRUCTURAL PATH CONTROLS

1. Loadbearing wall or support zone? 2. Roof-bearing line / slab-bearing line identified. 3. Gable / parapet / high wall risk. 4. Beam seat / column / pier / riser risk. 5. No-chase zones marked. 6. Service routes coordinated. 7. Temporary works implication.

REMAINING CHECKS, EVIDENCE AND FORMAL RELEASE

8. Special inspection required. 9. Each wall/support line is marked as roof-bearing, slab/beam-bearing, non-loadbearing or mixed-route before later work relies on it. 10. Transfer beams, columns, piers, step changes and discontinuities in the load path are identified and linked to the current structural detail. 11. Gables, parapets, tall wall panels and free wall ends are flagged for temporary/final restraint requirements before they become vulnerable. 12. No-chase / no-penetration zones are communicated to service trades according to the selected route. 13. Where the route cannot be confirmed from approved information, the zone remains on HOLD rather than being inferred on site. Record actual OK / N/A / HOLD, the affected wall/level/area, reference drawing and photographs, responsible corrective owner and signed RELEASE / HOLD / RE-CHECK before closing, loading or handing over work.

ROOF SUPPORT, MOISTURE, CHASING AND ENGINEERING LIMITS

Use current architectural/structural drawings, loadbearing wall and support design, competent temporary support and access, approved chase/no-cut rules, damp protection and masonry movement details, service route and concealed-work inspections, and roof/slab engineer approvals. A checklist cannot independently certify structural support, waterproofing or legal completion.
