AVC Work-at-Heights & Rope Access H&S File – South Africa | Edition 1
A HARNESS IS NOT A FALL-PROTECTION SYSTEM UNTIL THE WHOLE JOB IS CONTROLLED.
Rope teams rely on two-system discipline, inspected anchors and reliable rescue. Roof workers face fragile surfaces, changing wind, dropped objects and incomplete protection at edges or shafts. The AVC Work at Heights & Rope Access H&S File supplies an editable contractor management foundation and a dedicated specialist trade section over 336 pages.
A–AA: YOUR PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTOR SAFETY-FILE FOUNDATION
Prepare your core A–AA project particulars, appointments, competence, risk assessments, method statements, emergency plans, inspections, registers, general toolbox talks and incident controls for the receiving site. Complete required company/project particulars and any additional client or legal evidence.
AB ONWARDS: THE EXTRA TRADE-SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL TOOLKIT
AB-01 to AB-11 adds competency/authorisation, fall-plan applicability, rope-anchor and twin-line verification, lifeline setup, roof/fragile-surface access, tool tethering, exclusion zones, weather STOP rules, rescue rehearsal and HOLD/RECHECK records. Original toolbox talks reinforce the decisions at height. These purpose-developed AVC resources draw on relevant South African and international good practice.
CONTROL YOUR WORKFORCE WITHOUT PRINTING EVERY EXTRA FORM
Use Part 1's planning and rope-equipment evidence before access, then Part 2's daily work-area checks, rescue-readiness and weather decisions while people are exposed. Keep AB resources in your operational library and print what applies to the actual tasks; place required specialist evidence on site when your work risks or contract call for it.
AVC SUPPORTS APPROPRIATE SITE-REVIEW AMENDMENTS
Get the site's Safety Officer requests in writing and send them to AVC. We'll review omissions or technically suitable corrections and, where justified for the supplied standard file, amend and reissue it without extra charge. Site acceptance remains the site's decision.
