WHAT BA-C03 ACTUALLY PREVENTS

Multiple contractors, airport vehicles, aircraft movements and live electrical services may share the same limited work zone. BA-C03 is the source-original nine-check WORKFACE CONDITION AND SIMOPS INSPECTION, establishing that the approved work order still matches the real airport asset, isolation boundary and interface conditions. Its purpose is to detect incompatible simultaneous operations before they cause contact, dropped objects, lost isolation or an uncontrolled airside closure.

WHEN AND WHERE TO USE THE ORIGINAL

Use at the beginning of the permitted shift, before changed or concurrent tasks, and whenever the airport operator changes a stand, movement route or electrical system condition. Record AIRPORT / WORK ZONE, ASSET / LOCATION, PERMIT / WORK PACKAGE and SHIFT / DATE. The supervisor verifies that drawings, competent staff, escort, permitted operating window and coordination measures reflect the actual site, rather than yesterday's approved programme.

ACTUAL PRINTED CHECKPOINTS

The real NINE verification rows cover: (1) correct scope, asset, isolation boundary, drawings and work order; (2) airfield permission and current safety interface briefing; (3) trade competence, personnel authorisation, supervision and escort; (4) specific DC arc/energisation safeguards; (5) battery thermal-runaway exclusion, barriers and protection; (6) grid-interface design physical conditions and objective evidence; (7) DC-isolation testing, inspection and release requirements; (8) concurrent trades, aircraft/vehicle routes, public protection and FOD; and (9) STOP and contact airport custodian if workfront or system state changes.

Y/N/N/A EVIDENCE AND AIRPORT HANDOVER

The original shows Y/N/N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT REFERENCE against each source row. It also records UNRESOLVED ITEMS / RESTRICTIONS, CONTRACTOR VERIFIED BY / SIGNATURE, AIRPORT RELEASE REFERENCE, EVIDENCE REF / CORRECTIVE ACTION and DATE/TIME / STATUS. Record each failed SIMOPS interface and the person assigned to correction; do not turn a missing escort or aircraft movement conflict into an accepted check. Airport operating authority and permission to restart remain externally controlled.
