AW-C02 — MINE CLEANING SHIFT & AREA READINESS CHECKLIST

AW-C02 is the real underground cleaning shift-and-area readiness checklist. Its seven source checks begin with dust, silica, diesel particulate and chemical exposure controls, then turn to approved materials, mine service protection, washwater, waste transfer, jetting and area owner acceptance.

WHERE AND WHEN THE SOURCE FORM IS USED

Complete the sheet at the start of a cleaning, mine dust or waste-services shift. Record MINE / AREA / LEVEL, WORK ORDER / MINE ZONE, DATE / SHIFT / PERMIT and CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR and compare the actual zone to current mine instructions.

SEVEN ACTUAL UNDERGROUND CHECKS

1. Dust, silica, diesel particulate and chemical exposure control defined

2. No use of solvents, polishers or water methods outside approved material procedure

3. Cleaning does not damage support tags, sensors, cable protection or fire barriers

4. Wash water and sludge managed to avoid dewatering or water-quality impairment

5. Waste categories, containers and transfer records traceable to surface disposal

6. High-pressure jetting requires dedicated line isolation, hose integrity and exclusion zones

7. Mine area owner accepts clean condition, remaining waste and restored equipment

HOW TO COMPLETE THE EXACT TABLE

The original WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL table has Y, N and N/A response columns and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. Assess each source item against current mine SOP/COP and approved work order, explain NO or N/A decisions and attach evidence. This checklist is not a work permit.

SPECIFIC MINE-WORKFACE RISK

An isolation or service protection from the previous shift may no longer be adequate. Check real hoses, controlled sludge, recorded waste transfer and mine owner's restoration acceptance. Document N/A or NO with the reason and action; do not continue if critical clearance or proof is missing.

DEFECTS, STOP RULES AND MINE RELEASE

The printed HOLD instruction requires stopping where mine clearance, isolation, emergency systems, support condition or critical evidence is absent, and reassessment after a changed shift or conditions. Use REVIEW / CLOSE-OUT AND EVIDENCE REFERENCES and accountable supervisor/mine signatures where required.
