357 / AW-00 — RAIL WORK-ORDER ACTIVATION & MINE ACCEPTANCE
AW-00 is an original one-page editable Word work-order activation form for surface-mine rail sidings, train loadout, stockyards and reclaimers. Before activating a job, it links the mine zone, permit, contractor and six critical controls to genuine document/evidence references and acceptance by the responsible owner.
WHY ACTIVATION REQUIRES RAIL OWNER ACCEPTANCE
A maintenance instruction does not automatically authorise track occupation or movement prohibition. Contractors may still face rolling stock, traction power, moving chutes and unstable stockpiles. AW-00 separates documented rail and mine acceptance from the contractor's instruction to mobilise. It is not itself an operating permit.
THE SIX ACTUAL PRINTED ACTIVATION QUESTIONS
1. Rail infrastructure authority releases track occupation and movement prohibition. 2. Stockyard traffic, rail shunting and conveyors are segregated from the crew. 3. Wagon-loading chute, stacker/reclaimer and tripper motions are positively isolated. 4. Overhead traction, crossing and traction-return electrical hazards are identified.
5. Stockpile stability, engulfment and suspended reclaimer hazards are controlled before entry. 6. Track gauge, switches, signalling and weighbridge calibration evidence is available. These six items are the original AW-00 source rows, not a generic railway checklist. There is NO seventh train movement test row in this specific activation form.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE EVIDENCE / ACCEPTANCE COLUMNS
Enter MINE / PIT / WORK AREA, WORK ORDER / MINE ZONE, DATE / SHIFT / PERMIT and CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR. The printed table has ACTIVATION / CONTROL QUESTION, DOCUMENT / PERMIT / EVIDENCE REFERENCE, and OWNER / ACCEPTANCE columns. For every gate attach or identify the current rail possession, isolations, technical verification and owner acceptance. Unsupported verbal clearance is not sufficient.
Close out using separate CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR / SIGNATURE and MINE RELEASE AUTHORITY / SIGNATURE fields and DATE / RELEASE REF. Permission must match the approved work scope and conditions. The contractor cannot give itself rail possession or mine operational release.
