343 / AV-C01 — MINE UAV & AUTONOMY PRE-START AND INTERFACE CHECKLIST
AV-C01 is the original one-page editable Word pre-start checklist for workers entering surface-mine survey, drone and autonomous-vehicle zones. Its seven Y / N / N/A controls are a workface readiness check, not a generic aircraft maintenance or vehicle inspection form.
SEVEN TECHNICAL PRE-START CHECKS
A UAV pilot may have the necessary flight skills but still lack mine operations approval, may conflict with a blast sequence, or enter an autonomous haul area without verified stop and exclusion settings. AV-C01 explicitly checks those mine operating interfaces before mobilisation.
THE SEVEN REAL PRINTED PRE-START CHECKS
1. Mine operations and security approve survey or UAV flight area. 2. Laser/UAV route and blast schedule deconflicted from aerial and ground operations. 3. Autonomous fleet zones, geofences and exclusion boundaries confirmed before access. 4. Remote-control fail-safe stop and proximity alert maintained during testing.
5. Control network calibration and geodetic datum protected against accidental reset. 6. Spotters, communications and lost-link contingency defined for UAV and remote systems. 7. Recorded measurements, geofence changes and software revision independently checked.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE ORIGINAL WORD FORM
Identify MINE / PIT / WORK AREA, WORK ORDER / MINE ZONE, DATE / SHIFT / PERMIT and CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR. Every printed row has WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL, Y, N, N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. Attach current flight authority, blast coordination, geofence, survey QA and calibration proof; explain any NO and N/A against mine work order and code of practice.
Its HOLD statement requires STOP for missing clearance, isolation, protection or critical evidence and reassessment where conditions change. Separate contractor and mine release-authority signature lines and DATE / RELEASE REF establish who checked and who authorised. The checklist is NOT itself a mine or aviation permit.
