330 / AU-C03 — DUST HYGIENE EMERGENCY SAFEGUARDS AND WITHDRAWAL READINESS
AU-C03 is the original editable Word seven-check emergency and withdrawal readiness form for dust suppression, environmental monitoring and occupational hygiene in a surface mine. It focuses on the evidence that matters when controls fail or unsafe exposure demands withdrawal.
THE TECHNICAL EXPOSURE AND CONTROL PROBLEM
A crusher's dust suppression may fail during drilling, a calibrated sampler may become invalid, or threshold measurements can require workers to leave the area. Meanwhile water spraying must not compromise haul-road traction. This document checks recognised authority acceptance and the seven real exposure safeguards, not generic fire-drill equipment.
SEVEN ACTUAL PRINTED WORKFACE CONTROLS
1. Mine hygiene/environment authority witnesses restoration and accepts measurements. 2. Suppression failure during crushing/drilling reported for immediate reassessment. 3. Monitoring exceedances and corrective actions assessed against mine thresholds. 4. Wind direction, enclosures and suppression affect exposure assessment.
5. Silica, dust, diesel fume and noise exposure pathways identified. 6. Sample pumps, flow meters, instruments and laboratory traceability calibrated. 7. Water-cart movement and mist suppression compatible with road grip.
HOW THE ORIGINAL WORD FORM IS COMPLETED
Record the mine work area, work order, shift/permit and contractor supervisor on the source form. Every printed WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL has Y, N, N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. Verify against current mine work order/COP and explain each NO or N/A with real samples, monitoring outcomes, authority decisions or remedial records. It is not an emergency exercise attendance sheet.
The printed HOLD rule demands STOP for missing clearance, isolation, protection or critical evidence and reassessment of changed conditions. Contractor supervisor and mine release authority signatures with DATE / RELEASE REF complete the review; this checklist never substitutes for actual mine release or exposure control.
ONE SINGLE OR THE COMPLETE MINE COLLECTION?
This original purchaser-licensed editable Word form is INCLUDED in both the 386-document Surface Mining Checklist Package and the complete Surface Mining Contractor H&S File with additional core controls and specialist annexures. Existing buyers of either full set already have it. Follow your mine's current hygiene programme, exposure limits and authorisations.
