329 / AU-C02 — DUST HYGIENE CHANGED CONDITIONS, WEATHER AND EXPOSURE
AU-C02 is the original one-page editable Word changed-conditions checklist for surface-mine dust suppression and occupational hygiene. Its seven printed yes/no/not-applicable controls are designed for shifts in exposure, weather, suppression conditions and monitoring validity.
THE TECHNICAL EXPOSURE AND CONTROL PROBLEM
A shift in wind can move a silica plume across crews, while a failed crusher spray or an invalid flow-meter changes the reliability of the last hygiene assessment. AU-C02 brings those hazards back into a current mine workface reassessment, including authorised measurement review and sampling planning.
SEVEN ACTUAL PRINTED WORKFACE CONTROLS
1. Sampling pumps, flow meters, instruments and laboratory traceability calibrated. 2. Respirable silica, dust, diesel fumes and noise exposure paths identified. 3. Wind direction, enclosure and process suppression effects assessed. 4. Monitoring results and exceedances checked against mine thresholds.
5. Suppression impairment during drilling/crushing reported for reassessment. 6. Mine hygiene/environment authority witnesses restoration and accepts results. 7. Mine hygiene officer sets dust/silica sample scheme, locations and methods.
HOW THE ORIGINAL WORD FORM IS COMPLETED
Record the mine work area, work order, shift/permit and contractor supervisor on the source form. The source contains seven WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL rows with Y, N, N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. It does not contain a dedicated wind-speed log or invented weather test table. Enter genuine changed-condition evidence, monitoring references and permit changes under the available lines.
A printed HOLD requires stopping for missing clearance, isolation, protection or critical evidence and reassessing changed conditions. Review uses separate contractor and mine release authority signatures, plus DATE / RELEASE REF; checking N/A is not an automatic work release.
ONE SINGLE OR THE COMPLETE MINE COLLECTION?
This original purchaser-licensed editable Word form is INCLUDED in both the 386-document Surface Mining Checklist Package and the complete Surface Mining Contractor H&S File with additional core controls and specialist annexures. Existing buyers of either full set already have it. Follow your mine's current hygiene programme, exposure limits and authorisations.
