WHY THIS IS A MINE GEOTECHNICAL SAFETY CONTROL
A new shift may find changed seepage, overtopping risk or an excavation near a buried drain. Even if earlier crews completed work, a changed boundary or vulnerable piezometer can affect geotechnical surveillance and downstream safety. Handback must be explicit.
