AS-C01 is the original editable Word seven-row pre-start checklist for mine stockpile, waste-rock and tailings perimeter contractors. It begins with the responsible engineer's exclusion boundary so workers know which activities and work areas the mine has actually authorised.
WHY THIS ENGINEERING CONTROL MATTERS
Plant can mobilise to a dump or tailings perimeter before the current geotechnical plan has been checked against changed settlement or water conditions. Unapproved trenching or broken instrument markers may interfere with foundation stability and mine surveillance. AS-C01 provides the correct pre-start interface.
SEVEN ORIGINAL WORKFACE SAFETY CONTROLS
1. Tailings/dump responsible engineer defines allowed work zone and exclusions. 2. Crest/foundation stability, seepage, settlement and access follow current plan. 3. Tipping, trenching and pipework remain inside engineering approval limits. 4. Weather and stormwater diversion checked against overtopping/erosion.
5. Buried drain, decant/underdrain and instrument locations surveyed before digging. 6. Piezometers, survey markers and instruments protected and tracked. 7. Withdrawal route and downstream exposure understood by contractor crews.
ACTUAL EVIDENCE FIELDS, HOLD AND MINE AUTHORITY
Identify MINE / PIT / WORK AREA, WORK ORDER / MINE ZONE, DATE / SHIFT / PERMIT and CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR. Each original WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL has Y, N, N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. Enter the work order and mine zone and attach current engineering limits, weather/drainage plan, marked buried services and survey controls. It is not a permit or a geotechnical certification.
