AR-C01 — RAIL WORKFACE PRESTART CHECKLIST
AR-C01 is the original seven-row workface prestart checklist for underground rail track, locomotives and crossings. The first printed condition verifies traffic possession and rail isolation through mine control before any maintenance begins.
WHERE AND WHEN THIS RAIL SOURCE APPLIES
Use it immediately before approved track repairs, points service, locomotive work or haulage crossing maintenance. Enter MINE / AREA / LEVEL, WORK ORDER / MINE ZONE, DATE / SHIFT / PERMIT and CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR, matching the current authorised rail work zone.
SEVEN ORIGINAL RAIL WORKFACE CHECKS
1. Rail traffic possession and isolation communicated through the mine control system
2. Track gradient, rail condition and stop blocks assessed before repairs
3. Rail-bound vehicle brakes, couplings and passenger rules checked
4. Shunting plan, lookout and radio protocols agreed with traffic controller

RAIL TRAFFIC HOLD AND MINE RELEASE
The actual source says a checklist is not a work permit. The printed HOLD instruction requires stopping if rail possession, isolation or other critical mine safety evidence is absent; mine-only authorities decide entry and handback.
