255 / AP-C03 — BLASTING EXCLUSION EMERGENCY SAFEGUARDS AND WITHDRAWAL READINESS

AP-C03 is an original editable Word seven-row emergency safeguards and withdrawal readiness checklist for contractor work around surface-mine blast events. Its first source row is an uncompromising misfire rule: REPORT without touching explosive remnants, then await mine control rather than improvise a contractor response.

WHY THESE BLAST SUPPORT SAFEGUARDS MATTER

An unclear all-clear, a missing subcontractor, an untested alarm or an unknown zone boundary can make the evacuation or return to work unsafe. Residual fumes and damaged walls may remain after the blast. AP-C03 gives supervisors seven specific verification subjects to review before their crews are exposed to those conditions.

SEVEN ORIGINAL WORKFACE VERIFICATION CHECKS

1. Suspected misfire or flyrock damage reported without touching remnants. 2. No re-entry until mine blast officer clears zone after geotechnical checks. 3. Recognise fumes, dust, unstable rock and unexploded-charge conditions. 4. Park contractor plant safely outside blast/flyrock exposure.

5. Test radio, warning sirens, blast schedule and boundary marshal controls. 6. All people, vehicles and subcontractors accounted before evacuation. 7. Current exclusion boundaries and refuge routes received with controlled map revision.

SOURCE CONTROL FIELDS, REAL EVIDENCE AND AUTHORITY

The source has seven numbered WORKFACE VERIFICATION / REQUIRED CONTROL items with Y, N, N/A and EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. The first row concerns no-contact suspected misfire reporting; the last is current controlled exclusion maps. Record real evidence for each NO or N/A and use the current mine work order/COP.

The printed HOLD stops work when clearance, isolation, protection or evidence is missing. Reassess any changed conditions and obtain separate CONTRACTOR SUPERVISOR and MINE RELEASE AUTHORITY / SIGNATURE with DATE / RELEASE REF. It is NOT a blasting permit.
