254 / AP-C02 — BLASTING EXCLUSION CHANGED CONDITIONS, WEATHER AND EXPOSURE
AP-C02 is the original editable Word changed-conditions, weather and exposure checklist for mine blasting support and post-blast access. Its seven real source controls focus on a potentially revised event/evacuation situation, where the original clearance and contractor workface assumptions might no longer be valid.
WHY THESE BLAST SUPPORT SAFEGUARDS MATTER
Windborne dust or fumes, new visible wall damage, a moved boundary marshal or changed blast timetable can alter contractor exposure. Simply having the previous shift's map or an old all-clear does not suffice; mine blast officers and geotechnical personnel retain control of the current zone.
SEVEN ORIGINAL WORKFACE VERIFICATION CHECKS
1. Account for all contractor crew, vehicles and subcontractors pre-evacuation. 2. Test radios, warning sirens, blast timetable and boundary marshals. 3. Contractor machinery parked safely beyond flyrock/damage zone. 4. Review post-blast fumes, dust, unstable ground and unexploded hazards.
5. Do not re-enter until blast official releases zone and geotechnical checks finish. 6. Report suspected misfire/flyrock evidence without touching remnants. 7. Blast officer retains firing and all-clear; contractor role limited to work order.
SOURCE CONTROL FIELDS, REAL EVIDENCE AND AUTHORITY
The original checks begin with headcount and siren communications, then safe plant parking, residual hazards, formal clearance, suspected misfire reporting and finally officer authority. Each Y, N or N/A must be supported in EVIDENCE / DEFECT / ACTION. This file has no fabricated wind-speed table or explosives-setting instructions.
HOLD for missing clearances, protections or critical evidence; reassess changed conditions. Contract supervisor and mine release authority signatures with DATE / RELEASE REF are separate. A completed checklist cannot authorise re-entry.
ONE SOURCE WORD SINGLE OR COMPLETE SURFACE MINE FILE?
The identical original purchaser-licensed editable DOCX is ALREADY INCLUDED in the 386-document Surface Mining Checklist Package and complete Surface Mining Contractor H&S File, alongside mine site safety management and specialist annexures. Larger collection purchasers already receive this form. All explosives, blast area clearing and return-to-work decisions remain solely under host mine authority.
